  • It was suggested that we have a "Book" day in January 2024, members would bring genealogy books that they no longer need and are willing to give up - others might want those books for research.  We will talk more about this before January 2024 meeting.

 Organizing Genealogy Group Project


We divided into two groups with 4-5 people per group.  Each group had a series of questions to discuss about how they organize their own genealogy.  After sharing their different approaches, each group then shared with everyone their recommended approach (the audience would be a beginner genealogist).  I think everyone had fun and it was a good chance to share stories, approaches and get to know each other better.  There is no video recording for this session.

We had a great discussion of the July 12 Johns Island Presbyterian Church Cemetery field trip.  All the discoveries and lessons learned about Find A Grave.  The church administrative staff appreciated the help with the cemetery map.
